we are using the following command to backup the data

tar -cvpPf /dev/st0 /dir_to_bkp/ /dir_to_bkp2/ --label "bkp_`date '+%d%m%y'`" > PRODBKPTAPE-`date '+%d%m%y'`.log 2> prodbkptape.err

since i am using the absolute path flag "P" i am apprehensive of using the command

tax -xvf /dev/st0

Will this command overwrite the existing files or will it restore the backup to the current directory?
I want to restore the backup to my curent directory.
