Steps
1) Get the vmware latest version 7
2) Install it on windows
3) Download Oracle for linux from oracle website
4) Create vm machine to install linux
5) Always have some handy utilities like magic or daemon virtual cd drive creater it creates many cd drives on windows with this utility we can load iso files from that
6) VMware 7 auto installs its required packages to linux so we can navigate easily from windows to linux- easily
7) Load redhat iso on cd drive
Cool Set auto detect in vmware so it will be shown in linux
9) Set usb drive also in auto detect mode
10) Follow www.oracle-base.com here we will get info about how to install oracle on linux
11) Save the page as html on windows
12) Copy these pages on usb drive
13) Also copy of linux rpms from linux cd (server) all rpm resides in server folder copy on usb drive
15) Install linux on vmware
16) Choose new , then create new machine with linux refer kamrans blog for this very usefull
17) Do remember root password i forgotten that
how to recover ?
Reboot linux press esc
search kernel line then press e goto end of the line write single hit enter
Reboot the machine it will stuck to line sh#
Dontworry just write passwd
enter password for root and reenter the password again thats it
18) When we install linux practice few linux commands like
mkdir cd cp etc no big but required
19) running rpms :
IF WE DONT KNOW HOW TO INSTALL RPMS THEN JUST DOUBLE CLICK ON THEM IT WILL INSTALLED
20) copy oracle files to such destination from which we can run the
./runinstaller command
21) How do I COPY MY WINDOWS FILES INTO LINUX ?

Answers are simple use usb drive copy all files connect it and use vmware autodetect feature so we can transfer any file to linux

or

makeshare folder use vmware

or

create iso file mount them on virtual cd rom use daemon pro or any freeutilty like magic iso

With these steps we can install linux easily on vmware n also oracle on linux

Today I have installed Oracle 10g with vmware on RHEL5
